Well what better way then to spend a cold late October Saturday than at the track trying out the new scraper built by Barry Stettner! Thanks to Gilles Basque and Skippy ( Shawn Zezula ) who braved the cold, wind and snow this afternoon along with Barry trying it out. I think Barry had the heat on in the skid steer! We got a couple hundred feet done. It’s gonna work awesome! Thanks again Barry!

On behalf of the SDRA and myself we offer condolences to the McIntosh family on the passing of Syd McIntosh. Syd had been a long time supporter of SIR for many many years. Recently his son and 3 grandkids have been racing for many years and he was a huge supporter of the Jr.Dragster program in which the grandkids got their start in racing. He also sponsored for paving the Jr. Road and many other projects at SIR. Syd will be missed by many. God Speed Syd!

Thanks to everyone for all the help this past weekend! The facility is now lined with concrete barriers to the first turn off. We cannot wait till next year.

SIR 24.09.2020

We still need helpers for this weekend at SIR....see photo for dates and times.....read this whole post for details. We will be removing the old guard rail from the finish line to the first turn-off. This is a big project , so the more help the better. Please bring the following if you have: Cordless impacts, with 3/4, 15/16, and 1 1/8 sockets, shovels, hammers, chisels, and work gloves.... If you dont have tools, but are willing to help, that is great too! Once the railing is removed, all the bolts need to be removed and gathered up. Then we will be removing soil to prepare a solid base for the jersey barrier placement (hence the shovels) PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN FOOD AND DRINKS. Please let me know if you are available by commenting on this post, private message, or text me at 306 250 5418. Thank you to all who have confirmed!
