How could a certain drum, or a particular dance step, or a specific melody affect how the gospel is communicated? God expressed his creativity in each culture by giving them unique artistic expressions. Let's discuss how we can use these as powerful avenues to express the gospel message of Jesus Christ! You are invited to our final Beyond my Backyard event: What: A discussion with 2 seasoned and talented ethnomusicologists (a Canadian and a Nigerian) about the power of using... the arts in cross-cultural missions. When: Saturday October 24th, for an hour starting @8:00am PDT; 9:00am MDT; 11:00am EDT; 12:00pm ADT Where: Your own living room or kitchen or wherever you prefer to zoom. https://forms.gle/uoAD8ot6tUv9bmee8 *If you would like to receive a gift from Wycliffe, please remember to submit your mailing address when you RSVP! Feel free to share this invitation with others. We look forward to seeing you again! For God's glory among the nations, The Wycliffe Mission Coaches
Ride for Refuge update! Dolores and I are at 93.3 km of our 100 km challenge for the month of September. If you still like to sponsor me for this challenge and help support Multi-lingual & Mother tongue education through Wycliffe's Silk Road Ascent project, it is not too late. Is there certainty in calling? We know as believers, that we desire to walk in the Lord's plan for our lives. But how do we know what that is? Whether you stay in your backyard, or plan to serve beyond it, can we be sure of God's call? You are invited to attend our second virtual Beyond my Backyard event:... What: A discussion with 2 Wycliffe Canada members serving in 2 different continents, about their process of discerning and deciding to serve with Wycliffe long-term, as well as practical advice on what this means for every follower of Jesus. RSVP here to get the Zoom link. https://forms.gle/ZER6SH1ra245A4KZ8 When: Sunday August 23rd, for an hour starting @ 1:30pm PDT; 2:30pm MDT; 4:30pm EDT; 5:30pm ADT Where: Your own living room or kitchen or wherever you prefer to zoom.

Ride for Refuge last Saturday. What a great day! For us here in Calgary it positively was the nicest weather in the five years we have a team in the event, sunny, comfortable temperature and dry, no snow but a bit on the breezy side on the second lap. With the change of the 25/50 km route this year we also had an 11% hill. Personally I liked the route this year! Just my opinion. And NO, we didn't all ride the tandem! Fundraising is still open until the end of October so you can still sponsor me. https://secure.e2rm.com/registrant/FundraisingPage.aspx
