This is an exceptional article that lays out who should seek out a financial advisor and why. Give it a read! The only thing I would add is that everyone, even people who are motivated and diligently look after their financial life strategy, should still make use of a financial *broker*. Why? Because knowing your stuff is only half of the battle. The other half is having a GOOD FINANCIAL TOOLBOX. Everyone will need to utilize some combination of financial companies and their... products to get through life financially. A broker can help you find which companies/products/services can do the best job for you according to your needs, goals, and priorities.
