Changes to Services due to COVID-19 Pandemic New release updated April 13, 2020 Please be advised that as of Tuesday March 17, 2020 Racine Law’s office has been closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak until further notice. Thank you to everyone who has been patient during this time of uncertainty. As an essential service, Racine Law, is working hard to ensure the safety of staff, clients and families during this time. The following changes have been made so that we can still offe...r our services. Our downtown office location is closed to clients, however we have one staff member working at our location checking voicemails & receiving faxes. All of our staff is still available during normal business hours between 8:30-5pm via email and will respond to requests in a timely fashion. Mail, pick-ups and deliveries are being sent to Ms. Racine’s home address All departments are open and are processing cases at this time Modifications to how services are being provided include no ‘in-person’ meetings rather this is done online with no special tech required just an internet connection. We will walk you through this process over the phone. Different processes are being developed as we continue to work off site. It is a bit long, but here is an update on us.

Following the Province of Ontario announcements, we have made the very difficult decision to close our physical offices. Melanie will be able to return all calls in due course and will be checking and responding to e-mails 7 days a week. We remind everyone that these circumstances are unprecedented and as the Law Society updates us on rule changes we are contacting clients directly to set up Videoconferencing and digital signing. ... Please be patient with us, all of this is new to everyone.

Update on COVID-19 We are now running by appointment only. Please do not pop by the office unless you have a scheduled appointment.... Please call 905 800 0873 to confirm that your appointment will still be taking place in person. All instruction meetings will take place over the phone, by email or skype. We have set up most staff to work from home, however, because we are in the industry of paper it is difficult. Please be patient with us as we all find our way. We are sad to announce that we will be cancelling the our March 18th Lunch and Learn at Dalewood. We feel that at this time it would be irresponsible to run the program. Thank you to everyone who was interested, and watch this space for some online content!

Here at Racine Law we are taking the News relating to COVID-19 extremely seriously. We want our community and our clients to know that we are doing everything in our power to see to their legal needs while still following the health guidance. All of our employees who are able to work from home are doing so. Our cleaners disinfect our entire office every Thursday and they are attending every night to disinfect the main floor, where we see clients. We have also instituted a ne...w policy that the boardrooms are disinfected between each client. We are suggesting that our clients bring their own pens in for signing appointments and we have multiple sanitizer stations set up for our clients use. In following the guidance of health providers we will not be shaking our clients hands in greeting and we will have signing papers marked for signature so that the lawyer will not be in close contact with our clients. The biggest change we will be making is that we will be attempting to spread out client appointments so that there is less risk of clients remaining in the reception area waiting for their appointments. We will keep everyone up to date on all of the things we will be doing to assist in lowering the spread of this virus.
