Ever wondered what a 40+ lb Chinook Salmon looks like? BOOM! Had Dan and Nadine out for their annual birthday charter and it was gravy. Dropped into a 16 and 18 lb chinook early on. We had the big fish talk after that, I said I would have a hard time bonking a Chinook over 30lbs. Dan said all he wanted was a 25. 10 minutes later he got a bite and set the hook, and it ran, hard and heavy. I knew it was a decent fish so I say to Dan, you may have your 25! 25 mi...ns later I net this beauty, brute 41 lb chinook! I turn and say to Dan, this is one of those fish we were just talking about buddy! A beast of a fish that we released to make some beast-babies! He swam away strong. Afterwards we grabbed a couple more for the box, good karma!
