I hope that you’re staying healthy and strong! If you're feeling bogged down, anxious, or fearful remember to look for the helpers during this time of crisis. There are always helpers! Better yet, why not do something to become a helper? . . . Here are a few suggestions to get you started:... Donate online or by cheque to your local food bank - there are many families that are currently in need of assistance. Send a thank you card to your doctor or another healthcare professional to express gratitude for all of their hard work during this challenging time. Text a joke to a friend to brighten their day. Missing your favourite local shop? Google reviews go a long way. Think of all the places that you’re excited to go once this is all over and let them know why you love them and how much you appreciate their service to your community. As the weather gets warmer, encourage your kids (or grandkids) to go outside and write uplifting messages on the sidewalk to brighten the day of someone passing by. Write an encouraging letter to a friend or family member. Use your time wisely at home and get a head start on some spring cleaning! Collect items from your closet that you no longer need and set them aside to donate at a later date.
