Due to Covid-19 I had to cancel the Costa Rica Yoga Retreat this year at the Villa Preciosa. I am happy to be safe and sound at home, but can't help a little sadness at not waking up to this. We would have been there this week.

I've been nudged and inspired into putting a Yin Yoga practice back onto the online schedule! Tuesday Dec. 8th log-in at 7:15 for the 7:30 - 8:30 pm class. Come in out of the cold and warm up your joints and tissue with slow delicious holds stretching and targeting the deep connective tissues between the muscles and the fascia.

Today, World Diabetes Day, I'm hosting an online workshop for ONWA, Ontario Native Women's Association. Chair Yoga, Laughter Yoga andYoga Dance. All geared to promoting Self-Management and Living the Good Life. I am honored and blessed!

Today I taught Chair/Laughter Yoga at a local longterm care facility via Skype. One of the staff sent me a picture of the residents moving to my direction from the big screen. She said she has never seen the residents responding with so much enthusiasm to any of the programming! That was such nice feedback! They were smiling and dancing in their chairs, and all in all having a wonderful time.

Chair Yoga is very under-rated. Think: knees you cant kneel on - Chair Yoga - think: compromised balance - Chair Yoga - think: difficulty getting down and up from the floor - Chair Yoga. Theres a lot of different reasons you might attend a Chair Yoga class. Ive been teaching Chair Yoga in church basements, community halls, yoga studios, for 15 years. Its fun, inclusive, calming, relaxing, and did I say FUN! We do all the standing poses, we just dont get down onto t...he mat. The seated poses are modified to the chair. Youll still learn the breathing techniques, practice the stretches and strengthening poses. Its FUN! Im teaching Chair Yoga in person -live - at the West Thunder Community Center Fridays 10:30 - 11:30 am in the giant gym. All Covid-19 protocols will be observed. We will be 6 ft apart. Come in with a mask and once set up you can take your mask off. Please bring your own mat and strap/tie. See more

Im hoping for a Monday Wednesday Friday morning class at West Thunder Community Center. Ill be sticking with the Zoom online classes for Tuesday/Thursday nights and Saturday/Sunday mornings.
