Radville Laurier Regional Park 07.01.2021

Skating lessons resume today. 20 children registered this year. For some it was their first time on the ice. ... Just look at this progress! They continued to achieve despite group changes and so many restrictions. We can’t wait to see what the next session brings.

Radville Laurier Regional Park 31.12.2020

2020 was full of suprises. It's the year we modified how we had fun. It's the year we learnt how to adapt. ... Our park continued to offer sport, culture and recreation throughout. Our Cabaret was a huge hit! We cant wait to plan this type of big community event again. Our Outdoor Winter Festival in February was the first of the FREE community events designed to give back. The FREE Lacrosse program partnering with Weyburn Thrashers was very well attended. The Community Calendar Contest showcased some fabulous local artists. We made Radville 'The Best Place To Be Quarantined' with our crazy snowman activities, and 'Selfie Scavenger Hunts'. Our campground opened throughout the Summer and for the first time ever, is now lisenced for Winter camping. We celebrated Parks and Recreation Month in June with 30 Days Wild. Many FREE activity packs were distributed and families took part in daily actions to appreciate nature. We opened our pool July 1st and offered 3 sets of swimming lessons over the summer. Pool programming offered lane swim, aquasize and parents and tots sessions. Pool events featured Late Night Swims, Pizza Pool Parties and Movie Nights. 1 whole week of FREE SWIMMING. The Popcorn Stand was able to open. Summer Adventures opperated 2 Weeks of FREE programming for 21 children. Unfortunatly our TRIATHLON and ZOMBIE RUN were cancelled... Look out 2021!!!! The Car Rally Scavenger Hunt was so much fun! Skating lessons have been a huge hit! FREE public skating is well used and enjoyed. We partnered with Radville Tourism to put on The Lighting of The Christmas Tree event, offering hay rides to see Santa in the Park. The Search and See Twinkle Tour highlights our community Christmas Spirit. So, 2020 may have thrown us a curve ball, but together we filled this year with memories. Many many thanks to all the local families, businesses and organizations that sponsor, support and volunteer their time to keep our organizatiion going. Without you it wouldn't be possible. Happy New Year!
