Here we go! Opening this Saturday! "British Columbia’s has officially entered Phase 3 of their restart plan, and Golden is ready to welcome visitors from British Columbia and other provinces back to our mountain community."

BC enters phase 3 and we're ready for you! Dr. Bonnie and Hulk Horgan with this to say: "As British Columbians get the blessing to travel further afield in the province, Horgan said there was no plan to restrict out-of-province visitors from entering B.C." "I don't see us ever putting in restrictions. We haven't so far," Henry said. "But we want people to have their travel manners on Make sure they're doing what we've been doing, so that we can all stay safe in our communities here in B.C. and when people are going back and forth to their communities in other provinces."

Our guides are out playing on the Kicking Horse River, eager for opening up June 27. Wide open spaces, nature, whitewater.. it's all waiting for us!

This video was taken a few days ago. Heavy rains and tons of snow still in the mountains caused the Kicking Horse River to swell. This is the unraftable section right under the Trans Canada highway! By the time we are rafting on June 27 the water levels still be exciting and high, but not this high! ;)

This section of rapids is called Portage Shotgun. It's almost 1 km of continuous class 3-4 whitewater to start our daily run down the middle canyon of the Kicking Horse River. Fingers crossed it's daily this summer - we'll keep you posted as we know more! https://alpinerafting.com/

It’s hard to imagine 2 months ago that the whole world would be shut down right now, but here we stand. At Alpine Rafting, we’ve been through some thick and thin, but nothing quite like this. All we can do is wait, be safe and plan for when we can be outside again with family and friends. It’s important we all adhere to the precautions we are told to take. The better we are at that now, the sooner we can get back to life as we want it. ... We’re looking forward to coming out the other side of this pandemic with a renewed appreciation for the life we are so lucky to have. We can do this, and we’ll be back at it in no time!
