Nhiyawwin Hello! Today is Moose Hide Campaign Day! The Moose Hide Campaign is a day of action to end violence against women and children in Canada. Raider Theatre will tie in education from the Moose Hide Campaign in May - along with a Red Dress Project - to recognize the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. ... In the mean-time, our teens can check out Moose Hide’s workshops in their youth lodge: https://events.moosehidecampaign.ca/youth-lodge/ There are many educational opportunities for students - (and parents) - including TikTok as activism, an art challenge, and live zoom meetings to join the conversation. A fitting activity to accompany some of the sessions our teachers are currently attending on Indigenous Education at our Teacher’s Convention.
Wednesday Nov. 18 @ 3pm.
*Warning: Graphic Images The GWS Senior High Fine Arts Club made this Remembrance Day video to reflect upon the horrors of chemical warfare. Thank you to the g...irls for your hard work on this difficult subject. The words of World War One Soldier Wilfred Owen are a haunting reminder of the extreme hardships our veterans have faced to fight for our freedom. For that we are forever grateful.
