It looks like an SD45, but it's not! This "GP38-3" was actually one of only 23 experimental GP40X units built, and one of a handful rebuilt for CP to GP38-3 standards. It's seen here leading long-hood forward across the intersection of Main & Gage in Hamilton on the Belt Line (Marcus Stevens photo, November 2020): http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=43295

Family Portrait: Nicolas Houde captured a perfect photo of CN's Heritage Unit Lineup at CN Taschereau Yard as the six units were gathered here for an official CN publicity photo on November 10 2020. Today is the 25th Anniversary of CN's IPO on the TSX and NYSE which is the reason for these units being released. Thanks Nicolas! http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=43418

After some down time due to a grade crossing incident, OSR SW1200RS 1245 is back in service, and sporting a brand new paint job! The first of their ex-CP SW1200RS units repainted, it's seen switching autoracks at a the CAMI plant in Ingersoll ON with sister unit 1210 (Alex Sanders photo, November 2020): http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=43354

Back when the GE cowl units were only a few years old, BC Rail C40-8M 4635 is seen leading SD40-2 745 on a northbound out of Lillooet BC. CN acquired BC Rail's stable of power when they took control of the railway in 2004, and are now starting to retire the aging GE Dash-8 fleet (Joe Harrison photo, April 1995): http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=43206

Almost any other CP unit would blend right in with the reds, but not this one: CP SD70ACu 7021 leads 8734 south on the Hamilton Sub near Campbelleville, passing some fall colours near #3 Sideroad (Bill Purdy photo, October 2020): http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=43174
