Sorry to announce this year’s 35th annual Fishing Derby held on Saturday June 29th will be cancelled due to the Catch and Release regulations on the Rainbow Lake. A CFE (competitive fishing event) license will not be issued for any event that targets a species with a 0 limit. We are planning on hosting a Fun day at the Rainbow Lake Campground in lieu of the Derby. On Saturday Jun 29th, 2019.... We apologize for the late notice, as it was more difficult and took longer to have the permits and license set in place as Parks and Fisheries were busy with the wildfires surrounding us. Hello Happy Campers, :) Please remember to read the rules on the back of your season pass that you receive once you pay your fees. Your fees should be paid prior to camping. #10 Rule. If you cannot occupy your campsite on the weekend, please pull your camper to the overflow parking and give other campers a chance to camp. The campground is NOT full, but the campground is not a parking facility for your campers if not being used. Please respect this rule. A pass gives you unli...mited camping for the season it does not reserve a campsite. Thank You, Rainbow Lake Campground Committee

A reminder to have all belongings removed from the Rainbow Lake Provincial Park. Work on sites and falling trees are being planned. We do not want to have anyones property damaged. As the campground rules state all campers and boats must be removed by Oct1st. Thank you, Rainbow Lake Campground Association See you next Spring :)

Rainbow Lakes 32nd Annual Fishing Derby June18, 2016 Hosted by the Rainbow Lake Campground Association... 16 and over Prizes include 1st place Walleye. 1st place Pike. 2nd place Walleye. 2nd place Pike. 3rd place Walleye. 3rd place Pike. 16 and under will compete each other for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Walleye and Pike. Tickets must be purchased prior to starting derby. 16 and up $25.00 Under 16 $5.00 Limited tickets Available. All Alberta Fishing Regulations will be followed. Anyone over 16 must have a valid Alberta Fishing license. All fish must be legal size, One Walleye at 50cm, Three Pike at 55cm All persons in a boat must be registered for the Derby. Saturday, June18, 2016 Fishing starts at 6AM-9PM Lunch 12PM-2PM Sunday, June19, 2016 Prizes at 12:00PM must be present to collect prize. There will fun and activities for all ages!!! Greetings: This year marks the 32nd anniversary of the Annual Rainbow Lake Campground Fishing Derby. Plans are underway to make this year a fun and memorable time for fishers and their families. The derby will be held on June18, 2016, with Saturday being the fishing day from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday will be the day of prizes, starting at noon. As this event is planned and put off by a small group of volunteers, we rely on donations from the business community to help ma...ke this a successful event. Currently we are looking for sponsors for our cash prizes, as well as, material gifts for the other various prizes. We understand that money/prize donations may be hard to come by this year; however, if your company could donate a prize or help in any way for this event it would be greatly appreciated. If you are able to donate, even in the smallest way, you can contact the following to arrange a pick-up time. Its almost Camping Season!!!!!!!

Hey everyone , we just wanted to let everyone know that this Saturday August 8th will be the campgrounds taste of home . Bring your favorite home cooked dish and share with everyone . This will take place at the campgrounds cook shack . Hope to see everyone there :)

#####- ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE -##### We will be closing the road for a 3 hour period Friday, July 4th to change out a culvert. This outage will occur roughly 5 PM to 8 PM. During this time access to the lake and West End will be via the Evac Route. Sorry for any inconveniences.

HELLO MAY LONG WEEKEND!!!! Campers, camping season has officially begun!! The Campground is busy but not full. There is always room to double up with fellow campers. The campground committee will be there to help you in any way to ensure a joyous camping season for you and your family.

Thank you everyone who came out to the campground clean up!! :) It was an awesome day!!
