I thought I would share our news so we can all remember little Spunky. Our eternal kitten that was our tiniest best hunter here on the farm. She is now at rest with her best friend Sinda. She is so missed. We are all heart broken. let's celebrate little spunky with a thought or 2 everyone has of her. She was 12 years old so she had a good life. RIP our sweet Spunky.

UPDATE: #horse Well the name has been decided. Our new guys name is Major. The winner who was the first to vote the name is Marli Coleman. A new student joining us this month. Marli will receive an REEC Tshirt with her name on the sleeve. Thank you everyone for voting!!! It was great success. :) I will create a new halter for Major with his name on it in the coming days. Thanks to all for the great submissions and feedback. We received over 80 names and narrowed the final li...st to 10 names by giving each name submission a number, numbers were placed in a covered container and 10 names were selected. Names, in alphabetical order, for final voting are: Blaze, Clifford, King, Lucky, Major, Moose, Monty, Odin, Thunder, Titan. Voting from this list opens now and will close at noon Wednesday October 7. Gets your votes in, one vote per Facebook user or family to simplify the process. Have fun! Looking forward to giving our new handsome boy a name on Wednesday....with a new custom halter created by ET Stitchery. I would like to introduce our new horse arriving this Saturday October 3rd. He is a 17.2 gelding who is a gentle giant and our 2nd Mannie....lol. Long story short we have an opportunity to name this guy...let's have a Naming contest. Name submissions will be voted on by everyone and the cutoff for name submissions is this coming Sunday October 4th. Everyone can vote and name choice will be awarded Monday October 5th. The winner will receive a gift from ET Stitchery. How does that sound?

To All REEC Clients; Unfortunately, a fairly severe increase in operating costs over the past 8 to 10 months (which continue to worsen due to ongoing hay shortages across the province) required a review of our current rate structures. To continue to provide the same level of safety, service and quality of experience to you at REEC we have applied small increases to our Group Lessons, Leasing and Boarding programs to help offset the increase in operating cost. I will be sendin...g out an email to all leasers and boarders as well with a breakdown for the increase. Effective October 1, 2020: Group Lessons: $35.00 per lesson +HST Current Leases: increase of 20% Boarding: increase of $50 Payment Policy Lessons, Leases and Boarding fees are paid by the month, due on the first lesson of each month. There is a $10.00 late fee if payment is made after this time - unless arrangements have been made. E-transfers to ([email protected]) is our preferred method of payment. I trust everyone will understand that it is always our focus to ensure all horses are well cared for, and that our clients receive the level of quality of experience that REEC prides itself on. These increases will help offset some of the cost increases and enable us to continue operations and keeping our horses with the same quality care they are accustomed too. Please feel free to reach out to me should you have any questions. Many Thanks for your support, REEC

In anticipation of the pending storm we are going to cancel lessons for Tuesday and Wednesday due to high winds and rain. Also without knowing the damage to infrastructure we may experience this is to play it safe. I will try to call everyone impacted. We will look to book makeups at a later date. Thank you kindly everyone! Stay safe and well. :)

Welcome our new washroom facilities here at REEC in the small barn! It is a compost toilet so there are a few things to note how to use it. If you have any questions let us know. The portapotty will be leaving in a few days. NOTE: the gate in the small barn needs to be closed at all times! Please thank Sarah Cormier for the hand painted horses Ivory and Quincy and my handsome grandson Wayne for the model! Great Job Sarah!

Good Day everyone, A note to parents and visitors during lessons. To avoid many people in the barn end of arena where students are tacking up, all parents and visitors please go to arena end door and either stand down by doors, or feel free to go into viewing room. Feel free to bring stools down by doors to sit on if they aren't in use in viewing room, please return them to viewing room before you leave. Lets please remember to do our best to keep our 6ft. distance as directed by Public Health. PLEASE NOTE: For all those using the viewing room, masks are required at all times where it is an indoor space. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out anytime. Thank you everyone for your help. Cheers. Tamara and Kara
