When I can't get to the beach, I bring the beach (and tropical drinks) to me :)

Like the quote says, the best stories are found between the pages of a passport. My story at the moment is more like an essay but I hope for it to one day be a great novel. I can't wait to break open my passort again. There's nothing like that new book smell. What is your story? Is it an tale of action and adventure? A beach read? A mystery? ... Tell us some of your story or tell us where you see the next chapter of your story take place... #travelstories #wheretonext

Friends! It SNOWED in Vancouver today. If you're not familiar with weather in the Greater Vancouver Area, we get rain. Lots of rain. Snow? Not so much. So when it does happen, we either love it or hate it. Today, I'm loving it from the comfort of my home office. Truth be told though, it does make me wish for spring and with spring, comes the promise of baseball. And one of the few times I enjoy watching a game is through the bottom of my near empty beer cup at Yankee St...adium. Go @yankees !! We try and get to a Yankees game each time we head to New York because my husband is a lifelong Yankees fan and I am a lifelong hot dog fan Anyone else attend sports events for the atmosphere and stadium refreshments more than the actual game? What is your favourite sport to watch as a spectator? Baseball? Hockey? Basketball? Cricket? Golf? Football? or Etc... If you could see your favourite team play or favourite athlete compete anywhere in the world, where would you be? Today is Thursday so we're throwing it back to a time when we could not only travel but travel to experience the things we love. For my husband and I, it's seeing cool musicians in cool venues. Like that one time, in New York, when we got to see BILLY F*ING JOEL @thegarden! (no big deal...) (Side note - On this day in 1968, Madison Square Garden IV opened its doors at Pennsylvania Plaza for the first time )... So you get why I legit had a moment riding up the escalator to our section. It just hit me all of a sudden that we were in a place where so many iconic moments have happened. "The Fight of the Century" - Ali vs Fraser in 1971 1970 Knicks NBA Championship 1994 Stanley Cup Championships (sorry, Vancouver ) Marilyn Monroe serenading a certain president A couple of papal visits And So. Many. Musical Moments from Frank Sinatra to U2. From Elvis to Jay-Z. You could definitely feel the excitement in the air and when the first notes from the piano sounded and the floor started bouncing but people jumping to their feet, OMG ... AH-MAZING I'll probably recount a few more musical trips down the road but this one is in my Top. What kind of vacation is your favourite? Relaxing on the beach? Walking city streets? Food tours? Concerts? Adventure travel? Share a favourite memory below and one day soon, let's talk about how we're going to create new memories! * * * * * #throwbackthursday #gardenmoment #madsionsquaregarden #billyjoel #pianoman #plantodaytraveltomorrow #exploretheworld #placestogo #wanderlust #loveoftravel #wheretonext #canadiantravelagent #IndependentbyFlightCentre #independenttravelagent #travelagent #travelcurator #bookwithahuman #travelplanning #travelfun #homebasedtravelagent #travelindustry #workforyourselfnotbyyourself #IndiebyFC #travelpreneur #smallbusiness

Friends! It's #WorldNutellaDay! What an perfect way to kick off #feedmefriday Growing up, nutella was a staple in our Nonna's pantry. Not sure how many times we were literally caught with our spoon in the jar but whatever trouble we got in was always worth it ... The first photo in this post is a sign posted at #eatalylasvegas and I love it because it finally settles the age old argument. Nut-ella vs noo-tella. And now you know The next few photos are from a trip to NYC in 2013 where there just happened to be a nutella cafe newly opened in #eatalyflatiron. So we decided that we had to sample their wares even though we had just stuffed our faces with fresh pasta I'm not sure that this cafe is still there BUT there are official Nutella Cafe's in both Chicago and NYC - Union Square so be sure to add those to your to-do lists when planning your next trips to either of those places. Nutella has been bringing smiles to faces all over the world since 1964 and you can check out their history www.nutella.com. Are you a fan of nutella? What's your favourite way to eat it? With a spoon straight from the jar? On toast? On pancakes? As a dip for fruit? And when you're ready to visit one of these cafes, let me know and I will help to get you there #worldnutelladay #feedmefriday #nutella #nutellacafenewyork #nutellacafechicago #newyorkcity #chicago #plantodaytraveltomorrow #exploretheworld #placestogo #wanderlust #loveoftravel #wheretonext #canadiantravelagent #independenttravelagent #travelagent #travelcurator #bookwithahuman #travelplanning #travelfun #travelindustry #workforyourselfnotbyyourself #IndependentbyFlightCentre #IndiebyFC #travelpreneur #smallbusiness

Friends! It's Wanderlust Wednesday. The day that fuels the lust to wander. (Although at this point, it's probably every day that's fueling that lust, yes?) This week, I've been researching Tulum, Mexico for clients looking to travel in November and I'm learning so much about this amazing place. Not only does it boast an incredible coastline reaching out to cobalt blue and turquoise waters, it is also presided over by Mayan ruins that must be explored ... And after a morning of exploring, heading over to Muyil lagoon to float in a centuries-old Maya canal or finding the beach for some tacos and tequila all seem like good ways to spend a vacation day in paradise Have you been to Tulum? Any tips or secrets you can offer my clients?
