Transformation Tuesday! This roof had seen it’s day, with curled up shingles, dips and sagging, it was in need of repair! We wrapped the eaves in fresh white fascia, straightened out the roof, and installed a standing seam metal roofing system!

But what's the difference in screw down metal roof, and a standing seam metal roof you ask? Lets let the picture talk for itself. In the first photo we have your traditional steel, screw down roof with exposed fasteners with foam closures at the bottom.... In the second photo we have a mechanical standing seam metal roof that doesn't rely on exposed screws or foam closures to protect the integrity of your roof. With our roofs, all screws are hidden beneath the roofing panels (hidden fastener). It's clear to see, a standing seam metal roofing system provides a weather tight seal, that will stand up against all the elements, and time.

This category of metal roofing is often referred to as standing seam. The metal roofing panel is attached to the home or structure by securing a clip that hooks over one leg of the metal panel. The next metal panel is then installed and covers over the clip making the fastener or screws "hidden". There are two types of standing seam metal roofs: ... 1) Mechanically seamed standing seam. Mechanically seamed metal roofing panels are set side by side then a seamer is used to mechanically bend over the tops of the panels locking them together. 2) Snap lock standing seam : Snap lock standing seam is created by "snapping" one side of a metal roofing panel onto another so that they hook together and seam is raised.
