Thanks Heather Steinson for tagging us so we can respond. Our page is not able to post in the comments for some reason so we're sharing this conversation as a way to respond. First, it's important to note that the "article" on the Beacon Harold's website was posted by an individual contributor who's claims have not been verified or investigated. This section of the Beacon Harold's website allows anyone to post anything they want without verification or any form of vetting. A...lso the article seams to have been taken down as all links to it simply go to a 401 page not found. That alone should speak to its legitimacy. That being said, I understand the individual who made the post obviously felt they'd witnessed something unfair and was trying to help. Though I wish they'd simply talked to us first. To address the claims of this unverified individual, I have a comment from our manager: "We give tips shared equally to all staffs end of the day and additionally we give bonus every year end of summer! Every single day we providing free breakfast lunch and dinner and also free accommodation for all the staffs." He is referring to our tip pool system which is very common in the industry. All wait staff tips are pooled and paid out evenly. In the future if anyone has any concerns about something like this, please bring it to us first and do your due diligence before posting in a public forum and potentially damaging our reputation over baseless assumptions.
