Like many of you, I am passionate about our industry and I can’t help but be concerned about the future given the many threats and disruptors we are facing especially after the recent regulatory... changes and those contemplated in the years ahead. A professional is one who is committed to a high standard of conduct that the public can rely on. Unfortunately, this has not always been the perception of the public in recent years and we need to continue to changing this perception by holding ourselves to a higher standard and increasing our knowledge and education as an industry. We also need to do a better job creating awareness in the public’s eye on how the majority of REALTORS do an expectational job every day. The public needs to see us as the experts that they can't do without. I look forward to helping my fellow directors pursue and provide oversight to the current mandate, assist the industry in assessing future risk, and contribute to a forward focused strategic outlook.
