Chi Miigwetch to everyone who was able to come out today. We were able to spend some time together to honour the paramedics who have fallen in the line of duty, and give pause to those who suffer in silence. Special thanks to Cliff Sharpe for performing the smudging ceremony and opening prayer. We were honoured to receive the bell, to pause and reflect it’s significance for the fallen, on its journey through Rama.... Rama Paramedics are wearing their red epaulettes today May 5th for the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. This day honors the lives of Native women who are missing or have been murdered. Their lives and stories matter.
