For all the Federal Government employees and retirees out there that participate in the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign (formerly the United Way Campaign), just wanted to let you know that the Cemetery is a Registered Canadian Charity that you can direct funds to if you so wish. To do so: 1. Go to the uwco.ca website. 2. Under the Other Canadian Registered Charities box at the bottom of the page, enter our name: Ramsayville Protestant Cemetery or our r...egistration number: 79006978 3. Unfortunately, we are not in their preloaded search list this year (working on that for next year), so you need to enter the information manually. If you enter the Registered Charity Name as Ramsayville Protestant Cemetery and the Amount that should be sufficient to find it. 4. However, if that doesn't work, here are all the fields: - Registered Charity Name: Ramsayville Protestant Cemetery - Registration Number: 79006978 - Address: 4676 Ramsayville Road - City: Ottawa - Province: Ontario - Postal Code: K1G 3N4 - Amount: [Your Choice - minimum of $26/year - GCWCC restriction] 5. Then click - Review and Donate Button Thanks in advance for considering the Cemetery as a donation option. We will issue income tax receipts for all donations.

Just letting everyone know that the COVID regulations for outdoor funerals have been modified as of June 13th to allow up to 50 properly social distanced attendees as per the attached memo. We really appreciate everyone's adherence to these regulations to date and moving forward. These are challenging times!

Just wanted to let everyone know that all is now back to normal in the Ramsayville Cemetery after we incurred some significant damage to a couple of our trees during Monday night's thunderstorm. Many thanks to Trustee Grant Anderson for leading the cleanup crew of the full Anderson clan (Howard and Doug) and even with a touch of supervision from Robert! Glad to announce there was no damage to any of the gravestones. Thanks again, guys!

The Ramsayville Cemetery Trustees would like to sincerely thank all the folks who were able to attend this year's Annual Ramsayville Cemetery Service both in person and virtually via Facebook Live. It was great to see so many familiar faces at the Cemetery. And it was also great to see many folks from around the country and folks who could no longer attend in person that were able to join us online. We would like to thank everyone who was able to contribute for their generous... donations. They will go a long way to ensuring we are able to maintain the Cemetery up the standards that would make our elders proud! Please see a few pictures below from the Cemetery Service as taken by our great photographer Kelly Mitton/Toll that provides a view of the Cemetery, the Service itself, and then folks visiting graves after the service. Thanks Walter Petersen for keeping our Cemetery so beautiful! Thanks again everyone and look forward to seeing you all at next year's Service as well as helping you out in anyway we can during the year! Annual Ramsayville Cemetery Service

Ramsayville Cemetery 20.06.2020

The Annual Ramsayville Cemetery Service tradition lives on just with restrictions! We are pleased to announce that we will again be permitted to allow our community to attend the Annual Cemetery Service in person and pay tribute to your loved ones at their graves. We have just received written permission from the By-Law Regulatory Services of the City of Ottawa to host our Annual Cemetery Service at the Ramsayville Cemetery with the following restrictions: 1. All attendees... other than the those conducting the service must remain in your cars during the service and must be parked in a manner to maintain the 6 foot distancing. Folks in a car must be all from the same household address. We will assist with parking guidance and with your windows down in your car, you will be able to hear the Service just fine over Wilf Wight’s PA system. 2. After the service, if folks want to get out of their car to visit your loved ones’ graves, you can as long as social distancing is maintained, and you stay with the people in your car only. Unfortunately, no socializing will be permitted, and we will not be able to provide refreshments this year! We will be doing our best to ensure social distancing is enforced for the safety of all. As Trustees, we feel this is a fair, reasonable, and safe set of restrictions given the current situation and encourage everyone to please adhere to the constraints if they attend in person. If folks are not comfortable attending in person or are unable to attend, we will be live streaming the Service here on Facebook Live. If you are unable to join us live, the recording of the live broadcast will also be posted here on our Facebook page. Stay safe everyone and look forward to your attendance at the Cemetery or connecting virtually with everyone on the 14th here on Facebook Live!

The Annual Ramsayville Cemetery Service tradition lives on! We are pleased to announce that we will continue the tradition of the Annual Ramsayville Cemetery Service again this year on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at 11:15AM. Wilf Wight will again be hosting the Service in the Ramsayville Cemetery itself weather permitting. In person attendance may be limited by government restrictions but we will be broadcasting the service Live on Facebook as well. We will be monitoring the la...test government regulations and will keep everyone updated as the date approaches. Either way, strict social distancing practices will be enforced for everyone's safety. As you are probably aware, this is a key fundraising event for the Cemetery. It enables us to maintain the Cemetery up to the standards that would continue to make our elders proud. To that end, an online donation button will be added to our Facebook page and the Live Broadcast if you are able to help out the Cemetery this year. More info to come ...
