Dates of opening have been revised: poster has been updated Costco is not going to be doing garden centre this year. The Supplier for Costco, Darvonda/Glow Gardens will be doing pop up garden centres. Travis & team at Avison Young worked with Darvonda to secure the locations. Darvonda/Glow Garden’s is a 25 acre Nursery and is one of the main suppliers to one of Canada’s largest retailers (Costco) of bedding plants, flowers, produce plants such as tomatoes plants and other fru...it plants. Due to what is happening with COVID-19, this large retailer has decided to cancel certain contracts and Darvonda’s was one of them. Unfortunately this has left Darvonda sitting on about $20M worth of inventory that they have to move or see go to waste. Darvonda has been in the propagation business for 3 generations and this is the first time that their business has been in risk of closure. Darvonda established a Covid-19 Adherence Plan that was approved by the province to ensure that all necessary safety precautions are in place to make for a safe environment for patrons and staff. Darvonda is selling all of the product at wholesale pricing (no one will beat these prices!). This endeavor is not to make a profit it is purely to sell as much of their inventory as possible.
