The Bradford Rattlers defeated the Bradford Bulls 5:4 in a shootout in the first of their two game exhibition series. Finding the back of the net included: Arsenault (2), Catalogna, Witkowski and Andreacchi. Vladislav Grishakov picked up his first junior win in goal. The second half of the series takes place tonight with puck drop 7:30PM. Livestream link will be posted prior to the start of the game. Signing Alert: The Bradford Rattlers are pleased to welcome the addition of '99 D Domenic Della Civita. Domenic served as the Captain of the OJHL's Markham Royals last season and brings over 200 games of junior experience between the OJHL & CCHL to the Rattlers lineup. Della Civita stands 6'0", 195lbs and brings a steady, reliable defensive game to the blueline. He is pursing College hockey for next season. #RattNation

Signing Alert: The Bradford Rattlers are pleased to announce the commitment of '99 D Alexis Quane-Arsenault for the 2020-21 season. Alexis brings over 150 Junior 'A' games of experience to the lineup between the QJAAAHL & MJAHL. Quane-Arsenault is a smooth skating, offensively gifted defenceman who is pursuing opportunities in University or Professional hockey. Last season Alexis posted 24 points in 39 games in the QJAAAHL from the blueline. He has been in Bradford for the past month preparing for the season. #RattNation

Signing Alert: The #Rattlers are pleased to announce the signing of '03 F Anthony Catalogna to the 2020-21 roster. Standing 6'3", 180lbs at age 17, the power forward brings a lethal shot and scoring ability to the lineup. He is a product of the prestigious Lac St-Louis Lions AAA / AA youth system, the same minor club which developed veteran Brayden Morris. Last season, he was the leading scorer of Selwyn House Prep Team scoring 17 goals and 20 points in 15 games. "We thin...k Anthony will be one of the most exciting young prospects in the league this year," said General Manager Sean Werth, "when he skated with us earlier this off-season, we immediately felt that we had found a hidden gem with a bright hockey future ahead of him." Signing Alert: The #Rattlers have re-signed '02 F Sergey Sevotyanov for the 2020-21 season. Sevotyanov was loaned to the Bancroft Rockhounds last season where he recorded 19 points (8g, 11a) in 34 games. The 6'1" forward drastically improved over the course of last season and has remained in Canada training with the Rattlers this off-season. SIGNING ALERT: The #Rattlers would like to wish a Happy Birthday and announce the signing of '03 G David Irsak. Irsak is an top goaltending prospect of the Slovakian National Program having participated in U14, U16 & U18 National Camps. David is a product of the prestigious HC Nitra U16/U18 programs. Last year as a 16 year old competing in the top U18 AAA Slovak League, David posted a 2.26GAA and .889 save%. Throughout youth hockey, David was the primary goalie winning the Slovakian AAA U11, U12, U13 & U14 Championships with Slovan Bratislava HC. "We are pleased to welome another elite young talent to our Rattlers program and begin to work with David this season" said General Manager Sean Werth. "He is coming to the club with a ton of pedegree and is a proven winner throughout youth hockey."

SIGNING ALERT: The #Rattlers have re-signed '00 D Alexei Bernatskiy for the 2020-21 season. Bernatskyi was one of the most improved athletes on last year's roster posting 7 points in 29 games. Alexei is a stocky shut-down style defenceman standing 5'11", 185lbs. He is a product of the HC Presov U20 & U18 Slovakian system. #RattNation

The #Rattlers have signed '02 F William Ahlin for the 2020-21 season. Ahlin is a 6'1", 170lbs winger from Sala, Sweden. William has played the two seasons of junior in Germany apart of the EV Ravensburg U20 club. William is a left shot skilled forward with size and a scoring touch. #RattNation

SIGNING ALERT: The #Rattlers are pleased to announce the signing of power forward '01 F Kristers Mellenbergs. Kristers is a 6'7", 245lbs scoring forward that brings a lethal shot and physicality to the lineup. Mellenbergs has spent the last two seasons in Latvia2 playing semi-professional hockey where he has posted 31 points (21g, 10a) over 57 games. He is a product of the top Latvian Prizma/Paradaugava U16 & U18 youth programs. Kristers is an exciting prospect to bring to the club with a high potential and big personality. #RattNation

SIGNING ALERT: The #Rattlers have made two selections from our 2020 Moscow Tryout Camp in partnership with the Grishatov Hockey Agency & Prime Hockey Group. The Rattlers are pleased to announce the signings of: '02 F Andrei Popov '03 F Tikhon Ashikhmin... Popov is a dynamic offensive forward with a natural scoring touch. Andrei is a product of the Kristall Elektrostal Russia U18 program, where he posted 19 points (10g, 9a) in 18 games last season. He is expected to step into the lineup and contribute immediately. Ashikhmin is an exciting prospect with a ton of potential. Tikhon is strong on his skates and brings offensive creativity to the lineup. Last year with the Yuzkny Ural Orsk U17 program, Tikhon recorded 23 points (9g, 14a) in 34 games. The Rattlers have made other exciting signings which will be announced shortly. #RattNation

We are pleased to have completed our tryout camp in Moscow, Russia in association to the Grishatov Hockey Agency! In a difficult summer for all, nearly 40 players attended the tryout and we would like to thank all of the players for attending. We look forward to announcing some exciting signings out of the camp. A special thank you to Agent Egor Grishatov & Victor Zuev on another first class event. We are pleased to have worked with personnel from NAHL & USHL who also helped... put together the event and view the tryouts, giving additional opportunity to the prospective players. Also, a thank you to veterans Georgii Larshin, Oleg Grishatov, Alexander Guseinov and Matvey Trubachyov for helping with the skates and setting a positive example for the prospective players. Congratulations to three year #Rattlers goaltender #35 Trevor Babin on being selected to the Elmira Enforcers FPHL in today's dispersal draft. Babin had a historic junior career over three season with the Rattlers including three All-Star Game selections and is franchise the all-time 'Win' record holder. Elmira has a been a long-time supporter of the Rattlers development program, selecting Stepan Timofeyev and Vitali Tarasov in previous seasons. The #Rattlers have signed star forward '99 F Lucas Joly to a contract for the 2020-21 season. Joly is a 6'2", 205lbs power forward who lead the Grand Falls Rapids of the MJAHL in scoring with 44 points (20g, 24a) in 50 games last season. Prior to coming to Canada, Joly played in Switerland's top junior league with the Gotteron U20-Elite club, including some call-up games in the NLA Pro League. Lucas had been presented with USport & NCAA opportunities after dominating Junior 'A' last season, but due to the virus, will be looking to make a 2021-22 USport commitment. Lucas becomes the 4th Switzerland born player to join the team for next season. #RattNation
