Getting around to cutting the dovetails on the hand tool project. Taking much longer than anticipated once the holidays were over and having little helpers in the shop! Any guesses out there on what it is?

I have forever been fascinated and compelled by the journey of hand tools only furniture making. It’s precise and time consuming, and worth every moment you put into it. That is why I’m so excited to start my fist ever hand tool project. I will be posting pictures of the process and the first person to guess what this project is will be getting either a hat or sweater when they come in in the new year!

The general had his first battle today, and it was a absolute victory... A 49 drawer box run !

Monday morning milling!

All the scarf joints for the new mill deck cut. Not to terrible for a first time and relying on the squareness of the milling.

Lock block retaining wall going in around the mill.
