Pixie Roach who will be playing Matilda and her sister Phoenix who is one of our big kid cast members have still been working on performing while they wait to start up rehearsals again for Matilda the Musical (March 2021 )! Sadly, we know for sure Matilda won’t be in June (or this summer) with yesterday’s announcement about no mass gatherings through the summer, so those that have not yet been refunded, we will be refunding shortly. We know that many said for us to just hang onto their purchase until we do the show, regardless of when, but we decided to take this time to revamp our online ticketing system and so all refunds need to be made before we make these website changes. Thank you so much for all the well wishes and support for the Raymond Playhouse.

We keep telling Pixie Roach who will be playing Matilda she isn’t allowed to grow before we put the show on! Or any of the kids for that matter! We need the costumes to fit!! Keep reading for our latest update... Things are changing constantly. We last told you we had approval from MTI that we could reschedule for June 11-20, however, the Town of Raymond isn’t in a position to book the building until we have more information on provincial and federal legislation with regards ...to mass gatherings. That being said, our dates are now undetermined and as soon as we are able to pick secure dates we will let you know!! If you have purchased tickets, please check your email for information on refunds or holding onto your tickets until we perform our show in the future. GOOD NEWS! We have been given approval to reschedule our production of "Matilda the Musical" June 11-20. We will be in touch with each ticket holder shortly. We are all very disappointed that our amazing cast could not perform for you all this week due to COVID-19, but while our children are indoors, here is an activity you can participate in during our original show dates, March 19-28! Story Time with Patrick Roach (who is our very own Mr. Wormwood). Each day at 2:00 he will be reading Roald Dahl's beloved children's book "Matilda" to ALL our fans, both young and old, LIVE right here on our Raymond Playhouse Society Facebook page. We asked Pixie Roach who plays Matilda how she feels about the play being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and she said Well, at least it’s not cancelled! Our thoughts exactly, Pixie! You can’t tell from these pictures...but this girl was DEVASTATED to have to get bangs on Tuesday for her role as Matilda. But she was willing to make the sacrifice for the cause! We announced the plans to postpone to the cast just 48 hours after Pixie got her haircut and she feels like it was allllll for nothing!
