We would like to share our progress and future goals regarding our playground upgrades. The Jr. SLC has decided to upgrade our swing set to accommodate more swings, as well as purchase tire swings as an addition to our playground. We have been busy pricing out equipment, as well as getting quotes for all of the additional groundwork required for this project. In result, please see the fundraising thermometer below in regards to where we are at and how far we have to go. Please stay tuned for our most recent fundraiser, a Little Caesars Pizza Sale, which will be starting soon! We look forward to your support in our efforts to upgrading our playground. Thank you!
The Grade 7 class at Raymore School changed the lyrics of "We Didn't Start The Fire" as an assignment. The lyrics represent this strange year we called 2020. We have named it "We Didn't Start Corona". Enjoy! Click the link to listen! https://youtu.be/434S8abhbQY
And just like that Christmas Holidays are over. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school tomorrow! Monday January 4th will be a Day 1 on the school calendar.
The grade 3 and 4 students are happy and healthy. Enjoying this beautiful day!
On Tuesday, the Gr. 6 students completed a walk-by and drop-off at Silver Heights with their cards for the residents. They sure did love to see us, even if it was only through the window
Raymore School Remembrance Day Service Due to COVID, we could not have our traditional service in the gym. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOpPVrCgtyQ... Thank you to Mr. Carbno, Mr. Jackson, and Mrs. Hodgins for putting this together. Also thank you to all the teachers and students who took part in the reading of poems, emceeing the service, painting rocks, etc. Due to COVID, we could not have our traditional service in the gym.
We had a lot of fun playing Bingo as a whole school over Google Meet! Congratulations to all our winners! Have a good holiday everyone!
There is a confusing message that is circulating regarding school tomorrow. The message is from Horizon School Division in Alberta and not from our local school division office. Please be aware of this. As of right now, Raymore School will be open as well as its busses will be operating as normal tomorrow.
Students in Grades 2-6 made Christmas cards for the residents at Silver Heights. Thank you to two of our student helpers for dropping them off this afternoon.
Thank you to the 8 boys who dedicated themselves to play a full season of football. At times COVID regulations got in the way, and we had a couple of pauses in the season, but these 8 young men were never deterred, and finished the season with a strong performance today against Foam Lake. I would also like to thank Coach Braman who came out of retirement for the season to coach the Sr. Rebels once again after a 13 year break from the Sr. Team. We say goodbye to our one grad...e 12 athlete, number 24 Dom Worme. Good luck with your football future. I look forward to another football season next year with our returning 7. Thanks again gentlemen. You made me proud today!
