Its time for another Team Thursday. This week we are heading to the other side of Canada to meet our rep for Alberta and Saskatchewan, Brittney! Brittney moved to Alberta from Nova Scotia at the age of 19 to pursue her career in the veterinary industry and continue on her path of showing horses. Graduating from NAIT in 2013 with honours led her to work as a registered veterinary technician in rural practice, small animal and equine practise throughout her 6 years in the fiel...d. One thing in common with the different types of practice was the strong fundamental values of nutrition in animals. Brittney has always viewed nutrition as a cornerstone of veterinary medicine and took an extra initiative to educate owners and other staff members on evolving information surrounding nutrition. When she is not visiting clinics and furthering her education you can find her riding and showing her horses. She currently owns 3 (2 appaloosas and 1 quarter horse) which keeps her busy outside of work. Since her landlord doesn't take kindly to 1000 lb animals inside the house she also has a cat named Criminal (she picked him up at the Animal Care and Control Centre in Edmonton way back in 2010) and an 8-year-old german shepherd named Shooter who's favourite pastime is pestering his cat Criminal.

For our second Team Thursday we would like to introduce you to Teresa, our Technical Sales Representative for Toronto, most of the York Region, and Simcoe Region. Teresa is an animal lover and has been a dedicated pet owner from an early age.... Teresa has been involved in the animal health field for over 25 years and spent 12 years working in a small animal practice as a veterinary technician. While working in practice, Teresa was a strong advocate for nutrition and Pet Health Insurance. Working closely with pet parents over the years, Teresa saw first-hand difficult decisions having to be made based on financial restrictions, which led her to a role as a territory manager for many years in the Pet Health Insurance field. She recently joined the dynamic team at Rayne clinical nutrition and is excited to share the benefits of nutrition with the veterinary community. Teresa and her husband share their home with 2 teenage daughters, 3 cats and 2 dogs all of which are rescues.and her horse Louis. All of Teresas s furry family members have human names! In her spare time, Teresa enjoys the outdoors, horseback riding, and photography. Teresa is excited to share with you all the benefits of Rayne! #wholefood #rayneclinicalnutrition #teamthursday #roadwarrior

Over the past year and a half, Rayne has seen a lot of changes, including a number of new team members. So every Thursday watch out for our Team Thursday, where we introduce you to members of the team! Today we would like to introduce you to Karen, one of the Technical Sales Representatives for Ontario covering Niagara, Peel, Hamilton, and Halton Regions. A lifelong passion for animals led Karen to work in the veterinary industry. She avidly views nutrition as one of the key... elements to maintaining good health and optimal quality of life for pets. Karen is committed to supporting her veterinary clinics in making the best diet recommendations for each and every patient so that these dogs and cats can live the best lives possible! As owner and publisher of Canadian Vet Practice newsmagazine for 15 years, Karen has a great understanding of animal health and the issues that veterinary teams face on a daily basis. As a Rayne rep. she loves to get out and visit clinics to meet the veterinarians and their clinic teams. Karen is a proud fur mom to Romeo, fondly known as "Ro" since large dogs don't need large names. Ro is a Great Dane/German Shepherd mix, adopted from the Dog Rescuers by Karen and her family when he was just 9 weeks old and 24lbs. Now 4 years old, Ro has grown and weighs in at a cool 135lbs. Life with Ro is always an adventure and Karen has an abundance of stories to tell about his antics! Apologies to the vet tech he pulled across the waiting room when he spotted his "mom"! Karen's family also includes a very calm 6-year-old cat named Kiki, which is short for Kitty Kitty. #teamthursday #wholefood #roadwarrior #rayneclinicalnutrition

It is with great sadness we inform you of the passing of Igor Pugdog. You may have seen this handsome pug at a dog event, in a TV show or commercial, or from a scene in a movie. You may have seen him in any one of the many London-area hospitals as a St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog bringing smiles and relief to all he visited. As well, you may have seen him here, on our page as Rayne's Brand Ambassador. We have been incredibly honored to have been able to work with such an amazing and hard-working pug and we will miss him greatly as he impacted many members of our team both past and present. Our hearts go out to Tracy and Sean, Igor's Mom and Dad, and Zombie Pug, Igor's little brother, during this difficult time.
