Very much looking forward to finally visiting with friends and family again at my favourite restaurant, Mangia e Scappa, tomorrow night. https://mangiaescappa.com/menu/ Doug Louie is now a regular on piano every Sunday, simply because he loves the smoked salmon fettuccini. Other than the pizza, that is all he has ever tried. ... I however, have eaten everything on the menu except the menu itself. I have even had the italian doughnuts with nutella cream sauce. Come on down and say hello and listen to some fine dinner jazz Italian style and Doug Louie’s great piano playing. Ciao Ciao See more

Please join us this week for the first Canadian Online Jazz Festival (CoJazz), November 8 15, 2020 where more than a dozen major jazz festivals from across the country will present top jazz talent. Two festivals are featured each night, with Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival sharing the evening on Monday, November 9th with the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal. Fort Langley’s offering at CoJazz will feature two acts, the Sister Jazz Orchestra and Mimosa in a one-ho...ur free concert on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 7pm. Sister Jazz Orchestra brings together the top female jazz musicians in Vancouver in a powerhouse 18-woman ensemble. It's a straight-ahead jazz celebration that will entertain, move, and educate big band jazz audiences, with a primary focus on the rich repertoire of women writers. Mimosa draws on jazz, Brazilian sambas, French 60ies pop, and cabaret music to concoct its own unique sound: gorgeous melodies, quirky lyrics, incredible groove, and sky-high improvisations. The concert will stream on the festival's website at www.fortlangleyjazzfest.com, Facebook, and YouTube. The full festival schedule and performance links can also be found on the www.cojazz.ca.

Originally starting as trios in August 2019, REP was programing live music at False Creek, Yaletown & Coal Harbor. Since COVID 19 in March REP have had The RazzMaJazz Duo, Louie Quinn and other duos perform for special events. This video was taken this Aug. 29 at Urban Fare False Creek and features the great guitarist Budge Schachte. As we get close to Christmas, you will see all the stores will provide live music in the background while cutomers shop to demonstate Urban Fares" customer appreciation.

It was a lot of fun playing New Orleans style jazz with my brother Norm on trumpet and my friends, the Ogilvie Bothers, Don on guitar and Ken bass and also, of course, there was the infamous Jimmy Armstrong on the trombone. The first StreetSide Concert featuring The RazzMaJazz Quintet.
