It’s ALL about terrain. A great article from a mentor and colleague about how we choose where Not to go.
A great link to some solid backcountry content (as opposed to just bs content marketing that seems to be dominating) . https://thepowdercloud.com//av/ruminations-on-rain-crusts/
Three truths that every backcountry skier should know about being in the mountains. There are barriers to appreciating the mountains that are created by systematic oppression related to race, ability, age, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation and immigration status. We are privileged and silence is complicity. ... The Nations whose traditional territory we appreciate does not belong to us and is almost definitely better off without our influence.
Recreation is not relevant. Donate, learn, educate, share. Link in bio.

As an experience-first company, we do things that make your time on snow better. Taking an early lift (ahead of the public opening) allows us to create efficient, safe and easy-to-follow skin tracks that propel our groups beyond the standard lines. Partnering with @revelstoke has allowed us hundreds of guided days into complex terrain around the resort and the unique ability to deliver great ski tours in every snow and weather condition imaginable.
Actually, that’s not true at all. We dedicate a ton of energy to the things that really matter. Leading with empathy, guiding with respect and making decisions in the mountains with integrity.
That feeling when you know you’re in exactly the right place at the right time.
yeah powder skiing but also Kinda rough this summer weather wise, but here’s hoping for at least a few more nights like this one a few weeks back.
A solid read from the paper on flexibility and refunds in the age of Covid-19. As of March 15th, we made the decision to suspend all programs and roll all existing reservations forward to 20/21. The world will be different in next season, but the importance of thoughtful experiences in wild places will persist.
We made the decision to close our programs on March 15, but the memories we created will live on forever. A sincere thank you to everyone who trusted our small team with your time and safety this winter.

We're not big on "trophy hunting", but this is a solid and attainable list that happens to mention our little low-tech startup. We choose the right terrain at the right time and some of the time that's the right time for an all-time line. Good times.

Some decent tips from the folks over at WildSnow.com

Fun times showing off our backyard with Eric Hanson and the Epic Trails team. Eric and the crew are super dialed, so in typical RBG fashion we chose the best options for the conditions each day and sent a few of the classics in great style! Check out Eric’s post for more
Not not thinking about this rn...
