Being outdoors for at least 20 minutes a day is a powerful mood elevator!
Starting on Tuesday, April 18th. We still need at least 2 more people to get our boat out! Right now we have about 16. You can get in touch on this page or email me at [email protected]. The weather seems to be heading in the right direction at last!
Dragon boating starts on Whonnock Lake on Tuesday April 18th! Please see this page for registration forms. You can forward them to RCKC or to [email protected] or just bring them along with you the first night. We would like to know what we can look forward to in numbers though so notification by email or on this page would be great!
Sun Run Training starts tomorrow at the Mission Leisure Centre. Great way to start building up your endurance for the next season.
Only in Canada. You might have heard of dragon boating, but this is ice dragon boating. You can see it at Winterlude in Ottawa next month. Read more: www.cbc.c...a/1.3931096 ( from Ottawa Ice Dragon Boat Festival)
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY! Time to start thinking about the 2017 dragon boating season! We will probably start in April this year and go through to the end of September. We need to start generating interest for the spring and I would like to suggest we think about perhaps a regatta! False Creek Women's, Harrison and Steveston would probably be the best for us. Please check in here if you are interested in our season! Hope everybody had a great Christmas!
Hopefully, people are finding some activity for their Tuesday and Thursday nights for the winter but will join us again on the water in the spring!
Hey everybody! April 17th is our first practice at Whonnock lake at 6:15 (for warmup). RCKC. So come out and join us and have fun and a great workout on the water Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:30 to 8 p.m. (6:15 for warmup
Hi all; The season is underway and the weather has been much better. We still have room in the boat, on Thursdays especially. Whonnock Lake is a wonderful relaxing place to paddle. Come drop in and check it out Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 (6:15 to warm up). I can be reached at this page or by email at [email protected] if you need more info.
Beautiful evening for the lake. Still need some Thursday people! 6:15 at Whonnock Lake to join us on our dragon boat. We have a nice relaxing lake, easy to paddle on and we have fun!
We have a podcast on Fitspeek at www.FITSPEEK.COM. Find it and read the really cool interview with Deanne Hackett, our stroker for Dragon Ridge, Whonnock Lake Dragonboat club (RCKC).
Exercise is the most underutilized antidepressant! Come to the lake and take part in some with us!
