Tomb of the Unknown Soldier 1. How many steps does the guard take during his walk across the Tomb of the Unknown and why? 21 steps. It alludes to the twenty-one gun salute, which is the highest honor given any military or foreign dignitary. 2. How long does he wait after his about face to begin his return walk and why?...Continue reading
Nadezhda Popova was a Russian female pilot during WWII. The German military called her one of the "Nachthexen", or "Night Witches" She flew 852 decoy missions in a canvas winged plane. Dropped food and medicine to Russian marines trapped on the beach at Malaya Zemlya. She had to fly so low that she heard their cheers. After the mission, she found 42 bullet holes in her plane. She died on July 8, 2013 at the age of 91
It’s all about situational planning, you have to take everything into account. Master Corporal (ret’d) Richard Delve. A cook by trade, Richard Delve never thought he would join the military. After a trip to a recruiting centre in London, Ontario, that all changed. Richard would go on to serve with the CAF for 19-and-a-half years, and was stationed in Qatar during the Gulf War. With courage, integrity and loyalty, Richard Delve has left his mark.
Jeff Scott new mask. Thanks for being a Navy Veteran

Posted @withregram @the_warriors_corner Few American veterans will ever officially earn both the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the title of Crow War Chief. Joe Medicine Crow might be the only one. His other awards include the Bronze Star and the French Légion d’Honneur. How he earned the title of War Chief of the Crow tribe is a feat unheard of for decades before World War II started. But for all his feats, he was still a Private in the U.S. Army. There are four criteri...a to become a Crow War Chief, all of which Joe Medicine Crow accomplished during two years of service with the U.S. Army in Europe: Touching an Enemy Without Killing Him Taking an Enemy’s Weapon Leading a Successful War Party Stealing an Enemy’s Horse The Crow did not likely think this would be so difficult in the age of machine guns and tanks, but as Joe Medicine Crow showed, it was clearly not impossible.
