The Royal Canadian Legion is the guardian of poppy and remembrance in Canada. Lynn Valley Branch 114 begins our Poppy Campaign on Friday October 30th. Look for our Legion members at local retailers. Funds raised from Poppy sales are distributed directly back into our community serving Veterans, seniors, youth and the community at large.

We are aware that an anonymous individual has chosen to start an inflammatory flyer campaign opposing the redevelopment of RCL114 and spread misinformation. You can be assured that there is nothing remotely factual (other than the Legion address) about this misinformation campaign - design, height, offering, color, ANYTHING. This is simply a flyer created by someone who has chosen, anonymously, to spread fear instead of learning about our hard work to make something amazing a...nd sustainable for the Legion and the Lynn Valley community at large. In partnership, we have begun the process of meeting with various people and stakeholder groups to get community feedback around the following core themes: ensuring long term Legion viability, providing community flex space, rethinking housing affordability and ensuring some interesting/innovative models around food security. The building design will flow based on these concepts and be revised through community feedback and discussion. The feedback to date has been encouraging but we are in the very early stages. It is a shame that someone would try and upset the community with falsehoods during a pandemic. We look forward to hearing feedback from the community and are happy to answer any questions. UPDATE MARCH 16, 2020 COVID-19 Temporary Branch Closure - Until Further Notice The Lynn Valley Legion is proud to be a gathering place for our members and the Lynn Valley community at large. During these unprecedented times we continue to support those who require our assistance. We are also mindful of those who are working tirelessly on our behalf to ensure the health and safety of all in our community. With this in mind and taking into consideration the directives issued to...day by the Provincial and Federal governments and BC Health Services, we have decided on a temporary closure of the Branch. We are attempting to reschedule all Special Events and required meetings during this period. We want to ensure the health and safety of our members, their guests, our staff and, most importantly, the community at large during this time. Our reopening date is fluid. We will be providing ongoing updates. We take this opportunity to remind people that if you are not feeling well, please self isolate and stay at home.
