Those in third world countries do not have the everyday conveniences that we, the Western world take for granted on a daily basis. Bill Gates, however has started an initiative to help those in remote areas where modern plumbing is too expensive help with the sanitization of waste water, and to prevent the spread of disease in to communities. This was a project and a half - what started off as "slow drainage" from the laundry machine turned out to be a full sewer replacement - all due to tree root growth! These old Hamilton homes were built with the best of intention, but the building codes were just not up to par at the time of original construction.
