Canadian Armed Forces Soldier for a Day Career Spotlight Wednesday March 13, 2019 SOLDIER FOR A DAY is a program designed to give students the opportunity to learn more about military training and career opportunities in the Canadian Forces Army Reserve. Emphasis is placed on building confidence, teamwork, and self-discipline. Soldier for a Day will take place at the Regina Armouries 1600 Elphinstone Wednesday March 13, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 3PM During the event, applicants w...ill receive training in weapon’s handling, drill and the understanding of trades training that is offered by the Canadian Military. They will also receive a comprehensive overview of the various functions and capabilities of our military at home and abroad. Due to Canadian Forces regulations, participants will NOT be firing weapons or driving military vehicles however, there will be considerable hands on experiences. Hill School of Business Career Spotlight Tuesday March 12, 2019 This all day spotlight will focus on the career opportunities in Business, in Partnership with the U or R’s Hill School of Business, Virtus Group and the Phoenix Group. In the morning students will hear from faculty and staff about the various disciplines that are offered in the school. The day will conclude with visits in the afternoon to Virtus Group (accounting and finance) or The Phoenix Group (marketing). There, students will learn about day-to-day routines, types of skills that work best in that area and they will also hear about career opportunities.

SaskTel Engineering Career Spotlight Thursday March 7, 2017 This half day spotlight will focus on the career opportunities in Engineering at Sasktel. The spotlight will focus on the Engineering Department of SaskTel. The students will learn about the different types of Engineering roles there is at SaskTel. Through presentation and tours students will learn about day-to-day routines, types of skills that work best in that area and they will also hear about career opportunities.
