Today is the last day of November, but we encourage everyone to continue working as a community to help prevent family violence. Shine a light on family and domestic violence. Family violence is NOT a private matter. As a community we can support those struggling. If you need support, please reach out. Everyone deserves a safe home. We can help. #wheretoturn #familyviolencepreventionmonth

No one should live in fear of the person they love. Abusive behaviour is never acceptable, whether it’s coming from a man, a woman, a teenager, or an older adult. You deserve to feel valued, respected, and safe. www.womensoutreach.ca

Intimate partner violence ranges from emotional abuse, such as name calling, to repeated physical or sexual assaults and homicide. It can have far-reaching consequences on not only the direct victim, but also on families, communities and society at large. We provide multiple support programs for anyone effected by domestic violence. www.womensoutreach.ca

Goal achieved and then some! Central Alberta! Thank you for your support. Fundraising is a daunting task right now, and every dollar you donated helps make it a little bit easier to deliver the programs and support necessary for people experiencing domestic violence. The stories we've shared over the last 10 days are your neighbours, your friends, your co-workers. The fact is, they're the story of someone you know. One in three is subject to abuse from a partner which in Red Deer alone means 7 THOUSAND women. If you haven't had a chance to donate, but you'd like to help us continue our programs and services, please do so. You can go to our website and give any time. Tax receipts are issued for any donation over $25
