The re-opening plan for R.D. Parker Collegiate has officially been released. Students and parents can follow the link below, or go to www.rdpc.ca, click on the parent or student diamond, and then click the heart that says "COVID-19 School Plans". In regards to Trojan Athletics, all school sports and clubs will be put on pause to begin the school year. Additionally, The MHSAA has not approved any competitions, including league play and tournaments, at this time. This situatio...n will be monitored throughout the first semester, and reassessed if any changes occur locally or provincially. While this is disappointing for our student-athletes, coaches, parents, and volunteers, we all have a part to play in protecting the health and well-being of our entire population. We encourage our dedicated student-athletes to keep training individually, to grow mentally and physically, and to be ready to compete if the situation does in fact change. It's Graduation day at R.D. Parker Collegiate! Our annual graduation ceremony takes place tonight at 8:30 pm. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, things will be a little different this year. Fortunately, our grads still get to have a full ceremony in the TRCC arena, however, parents, family and friends will not be able to watch from inside. Each grad will have a single vehicle admitted to a VIP parking lot outside the TRCC, where they can watch the live-stream from two huge screens. For everyone else, the live-stream is available on YouTube, through the shawtvthompson channel, or by clicking the link below. Our grads will also be treated to a fireworks display following the ceremony to cap off the evening. Its been a while since we've had anything 'athletic-ish' to share, but check this out! It was hard to get rid of the original wooden ones (literally, they weighed a ton!), but this was a long time coming. Can't wait to see them filled next year! #rdpcpride #trojanpride
