As a thank you for their continued support, we presented Sobeys Stratford, Chef Nathan & Wellbeing counselor Hannah a hand made cutting board crafted with walnut, cherry & maple woods. All our handmade wood and soap products are available for purchase. Are you interested in our Expanding Your Reach program? Applications are still being accepted for our next intake which starts on January 25th with interviews happening in early January! This program, Expanding Your Reach, is a 16-week structured program which focuses on improving confidence and essential employability and life skills. This program also includes a four-week job placement. We have achieved excellent results with this program, in part, thanks to our partners including: Skills PEI, Employment Development Agency, Stratford Sobeys, Fundamental Yoga, Naturally Fit, Career Development Services, Workplace Learning PEI, and all businesses that provide meaningful work placements for Reach Foundation participants.

We are proud to announce that Robin Smith has taken the position of Director of Sales & Marketing. Robin comes to us from Stingray Radio, New Brunswick, where he was General Sales Manager. In addition to his years of experience in Sales and Marketing, Robin has also completed & received accreditation from the Brooks Group Management Program. As the Director of Sales & Marketing, Robin will be responsible for developing a comprehensive sales & marketing program/strategy that will increase the brand, profile & ensure consistent branding and marketing of REACH Foundation social enterprise products and services. Thank you to the Kiwanis Club of Charlottetown for helping us kick off Giving Tuesday with their generous donation. Will McGuigan from the Kiwanis Club was on site today to present the big cheque to Dean Constable our Executive Director. Donations to Reach Foundation support Island Youth on their journey through recovery from mental health and addiction issues. It has been a difficult year for us and COVID 19 has been particularly difficult on people struggling with mental health and addictions issues. This week our participants in the Expanding Your Reach program had an amazing presentation done by Tom Hilton of the PEI Human Rights Commission. This presentation is always a hit in our program and reinforces the principle that every person is free and equal in dignity and rights without regard to age, colour, creed, disability, ethnic or national origin, family status, gender expression, gender identity, marital status, political beliefs, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or source of income. We would like to thank the PEI Human Rights Commission for their time in putting on this presentation at Reach Foundation!
