Only a few days until Race Day! WE will be keeping you hydrated & nourished with water & post race juice & snacks. Weve got the OPP there to keep the roads safe & St. Johns Ambulance just in case we need them. We also have a team of volunteers helping out to keep things running smoothly. Heres some things YOU might want to think about: bringing some extra water, wearing a breathable, moisture wicking shirt, suntan lotion & prepare to have some fun! See you Friday!

Just a heads up, if youve registered for Reach the Beach, your getting an invite for a one time visit to the Columbia Sportswear Employee Store in London. The store is not an outlet - its better. You get employee pricing for their current line of clothing. Invite will be in your swag bag.

Weve got some GREAT NEWS! Central Elgin has confirmed paving on George Street will be done, maybe even by the end of this week. This means that the race is a go - same date, same time and same route! We have decided to "pause" registration for Reach the Beach as George Street in Port Stanley is still not paved from the recent construction. Central Elgin believed the road would have been done in June, but there have been several complications. We are still committed to having the 2019 race & exploring an alternative route or delaying the event. It is still possible the paving will be done and we will get an update this week on the situation. We want to apologize and we will keep you updated on what is happening.

We are looking for a few volunteers to help us at Reach the Beach in Port Stanley on August 9 (evening). It will be about 2 hours of super easy work and well get you a shirt, ice cream and you get to hang out in Port Stanley. Message us if you can help.

We are excited to have Dotsys Entertainment Co. join us again at Reach the Beach - meaning free face painting for all the kids! Plus there will be drinks and snacks for all the kids signed up to do the 200 metre run ($5 fee to register).
