Who doesn’t struggle with time management? I’ve read a lot on this topic and have implemented some incredible strategies to improve my day to day business and life (5AM club by Robin Sharma has been the biggest game changer). There is always more to learn and I’m excited to dive into this book given to me from one of my fave bad ass entrepreneurs - Michelle producer and owner of @whatwomenwantevents and @bellachic_canada ... Nothing says entrepreneurship like being over the moon excited about a new offer you have just developed and rolled out only for it to be completely rejected. One day you’re going to move to an island with all the money you’re going to make and the next day you’re googling corporate jobs. Welcome to the highs and lows of business baby. ... I can't tell you how many times I thought I was going to hit one out of the park and it fell copletely flat. I either got interest but the price and time objections came up or it was met with crickets. Either way, it is deflating. I can assure you that this is so normal. Moving from the extreme highs to the extreme lows and back again is the place that builds your resilience and is an opportunity to work on your self-worth and confidence. These are the times it is most important to KEEP GOING. It's an opportunity to get a deeper level of clarity on what your offer is, how to package it, price it, talk about it, sell it and deliver it. It is also an opportunity to practice having your won back, championing yourself forward, and going deeper into what is blocking you from success. It is all a process of discovery and figuring out what works and how you work. So keep building, tweaking, adjusting and keep putting yourself out there. One of these times everything will align. You will hit a home run and in that moment, you will see how it all happened exactly as it should have. Every failure and rejection at any stage of business is aligning you with the right offer, the right price, the right packaging, the right delivery, and the right customer IF you allow it to. This comes from not taking it personal and looking for the golden nugget of wisdom the failure or rejection is giving you. Keep going. In your journey of figuring it out, you will truly discover who you are and what you are made of. How much time do you spend updating, re-doing, and learning about new fun tools that will make your online presence look better? If it is more time then actually getting out from behind your computer and getting in front of your ideal customers connecting in person and delivering them value, then it is too much. You are distracting yourself from the real work. I know this because I have fallen into this trap. Putting ourselves out there is scary AF and so we avoid ...it (without realizing it) and instead, we distract ourselves with behind the scenes work instead of honing our craft by doing the actual work. We think the reason our business isn't booming is that our social media isn't pretty enough or our website needs an overhaul. And while those things can help our branding and I am all for it, it is NOT the reason you haven't been successful yet. My rule of thumb is that it is good enough until you've hit the 6-figures or close to it and can afford to outsource it to the professionals who will do a way better job than you. But to get to 6-figures, you don't need fancy. In fact, you need very little. I don't have a huge social following (it's still low), I created my website in 1 day, and have a small email list. I am not consistent on any of my platforms and my courses content and modules aren't exactly pretty looking (but the value is in them). Instead, I got out there and honed my craft. I coached for free, I connected with people, I offered low priced options, and I did whatever it took to feel super confident with my ability to deliver value. That confidence is what led me to a place where I can actually afford to make my online presence prettier by hiring the pro's to do it! It is not really my jam and every second I spend on that stuff, I lose honing my craft and becoming the best coach possible for my clients. So stop avoiding your full potential self and get out there and practice your craft. The money will follow. See more
