One of our 2014 festival alumni, Sylvia Hamilton from here in Nova Scotia, won the very prestigious "Governor General's History Award for Popular Media: The Pierre Berton Award" for making an indelible mark on Black history in Canada. With being so busy this summer I haven't had a chance to edit or upload a lot of photos I have been taking and so the next few days I am going to try and fix th...at and catch up. This on the other hand is a photo Bethany Visser took of me Jon Raven and Matthew Kenny performing at this year's Read by the Sea Literary Festival in River John, Nova Scotia!! We had a blast playing the hay wagon stage with our country rock classics for the crowd and looking out to see them singing along and tapping their feet!
