The past week has been difficult mental health wise. Today, I decided to head down to the local beach and enjoy some final beautiful summer weather! Put my feet in the sand, feel the cool breeze, and with a view of the lake. Its okay to not be okay. Its normal. Its what makes us human. I've learned that there's lots of learning that can be done in those times of darkness. Follow @calumscott this week. Have a look at what he's is doing for mental health awareness week! We are in a time of uncertainty. Everything is happening for our greatest and highest good. We are safe. We have to trust the process and have faith. Everything we are experiencing is for a reason - we may not understand now or we may not fully understand, but there's purpose for all of this. Stay positive my friends! Take it easy on yourself. Healers ca...n come in many forms. These people mentioned above and more have been there on my journey through triumph, heartbreak, feeling lost, broken, the pain, and more. The past 5 years has been quite an adventure. Music is powerful and healing. I don't know what I'd do without it. What do you hear all the time when fans talk to their favorite singers? Thank you, you've helped me learn how to love again, got me through my chemotherapy treatments, brought me comfort when I couldn't find any, you helped me through my grieving process when I lost a loved one, helped me lose weight, the will to live, etc.... There is so much more to music than just music. I send my deepest gratitude for those who basically prescribe us medicine with their music and lyrics. I personally want to take this opportunity to say "Thank You, for all that you all do! Your impact is immeasurable. Howdy! The coronavirus has given and continues to give us all a time for self-reflection. It forces us to look at all aspects of our lives and teaches us a few lessons along the way. This is a season where we cry, laugh, get angry, become scared, celebrate, mourn, etc. It's a season of the unknown. We learn, grow and develop - all for the greatest good. One major lesson I've learned is about Rejection. Everyone wants to feel loved and accepted. Its something I've struggled w...ith for my entire life. It wasn't until I discovered the saying: "Rejection is God's Redirection", its changed my overall outlook on the subject. When you start having that rejected feeling, I believe that's God's gentle way of saying "its time to go, its time to move on." It doesn't matter what people think about you; its what's in your heart that counts. People may not acknowledge, appreciate, or understand what you're giving - and that's okay. God sees - the only judge in my opinion. Rejection after rejection after rejection; I will never be afraid to love. People come in and out of our lives for a reason. I'm grateful and send love to all the people who have been and continue to be in my life - without all of you I wouldn't be who I am today. Hey, I'm not perfect and I'm the first to admit that - I have my faults too. Its important to love people regardless of the good, bad, and indifferent because love wins every single time. Throwback Thursday! When I started thinking about starting a business as a medium - I decided to ask @marleyjaxx for help. I had this wild idea that I wanted to incorporate the painting my grandmother did (on the left) in my logo.... Marley literally recreated that painting onto a logo (on the right). She didn't even bat an eye. We had several edits, but Marley never gave up. It's absolutely perfect and I couldn't have asked for anything else.
