Your prenatal medical care is important! In your first trimester you will likely be under the watch of your family doctor, and then your care may be transferred to a physician (either a low-risk obstetrical GP or an obstetrician) who can deliver babies at a Calgary hospital. At each prenatal visit you will be weighed, have your belly measured, and have your blood pressure and urine checked. Although these quick office visits may seem simple and routine, your doctor is watchin...g for signs of possible problems like high blood pressure or infection. Also use this time to discuss your questions and concerns with your medical team. During this pandemic time it may seem temping to skip appointments or delay important scans and testing, but the benefits to you and your baby far outweigh the risks and inconveniences! 2020 was a hard one in so many ways. But in the midst of it all, ReadyBaby was born, and I will always be grateful for that! I’m so thankful for the chance to encourage and inspire expectant couples.
