Here are some images that thoroughly lift my spirits and inspire me to paint. I have no idea why stark, geometric shadows especially on leaves and plants in early morning or late afternoon, gives me such a thrill. Herewith, a sample of what makes me happy. From friends' backyards, to allotment gardens, to hardware garden centre displays, I can't help but capture these.
