A great alternative to traditional weight lifting... it provides a total body workout building functional strength and muscular endurance
Are you having cravings for something sweet after supper? Try not to reach for the chocolate cake. This sensation will pass! Most of us eat our food so fast that our body hasn't had time to catch up to our stomach. Drink a couple of glasses of water. This will fill your stomach and trigger a chemical release in your brain making you feel full. This will give your body the time it needs to start metabolizing your dinner and reduce the cravings.
Heading out for a few hours... pack a small container of unsalted mixed nuts and dried fruit like Almonds, Pecans, Walnuts, Raisins and Cranberries. This snack is the perfect balance of carbs, protein and fat. A great alternative to a stop at the convenience store. They are also high in fiber so they work well for people on carb reduced diets
Dieting Tip - Want to improve your body's metabolism? Drink more water. By drinking 8-10 cups of water per day, you will help improve your liver function, detoxifying your body, allowing it to emulsify fat more efficiently. Avoid beverages such as pop and energy drinks.
