Mid month the Canadian Real Estate Association released their stats indicating that Canadian listings continued to rebound last month. So what does that mean? * National home sales rose 63% on a month over month basis ... * Actual activity is up year over year by 15.2% * The # of newly listed properties climbed 49.5% from May to June * The national average sale price rose by 6.5% Year over Year The national average price is highly influenced by the sales in the GTA and Greater Vancouver, two of Canada's most active and expensive housing markets. Without including Vancouver and Toronto the national average sale price would be lowered by approximately $107,000.00 An indicator that our mega cities truly dictate the markets across Canada.

This week be sure to keep an eye out at the local Farmers Markets this weekend for these tasty little treats. Apricots are one of my absolute favourite fruits and this is the season to enjoy them fresh off the vine! Did you know that not only are they low in calories but they are also loaded with antioxidants, they help with eye health, gut health, support your liver and help to give your skin that summer glow! ... My granny Laird used to love her Canadian summer holidays, every morning she insisted on toast for breakfast smothered with a healthy layer of butter and jam. I have so many great memories of her holiday visits, listening to all of the wonderful stories she shared about the good old days in Bonnie Scotland. If you love Apricots as much as my granny Laird did and I do, you may want to bottle some up! Covid Canning.....hmmm I wonder if this will be "a thing" this summer the same way baking "sour dough" bread was in the first weeks of lockdown? My sour dough started turned out to be a science experiment, so I failed in the baking department, but I am seriously thinking about trying to make some jam. Getting your property "Market Ready" can feel overwhelming. But it doesn't have to be! Sellers often think they have to spend thousands of dollars $$$ on upgrades before they put their home on the market and that every little thing has to be in it's place. Even they invite me over for a walk through so that I can provide them with a home evaluation. ...
