September 2018 Housing Stats MONTH OVER MONTH in Durham Region from August 2018: A decrease in the quantity of transactions, as well as a slight decrease i...n sale price shows us that September was slower than anticipated for what would typically be a prime-time fall market. Perhaps the high summer temps were to blame as Buyers enjoyed a little extra time at the beach and on the dock! However, the increase in available listings could also be a factor as Buyers had 24% more homes to choose from. It is important to note that, although month over month our sale prices are down slightly, YEAR OVER YEAR we are up 1.44% which is extremely comforting to know, after coming off the roller coaster of the 2017 market!
