A Year In Review Despite an unprecedented year due to Covid-19, the Greater Toronto Area REALTORS reported the third best result on record, with over 95,000 home sales and a new average selling price of $929,699!!! A strange spring market that left everyone questioning, will the bubble burst Enticing low interest rates and cabin fever led to a quick market recovery for summer/fall Single family home types led the growth month over month For the first time we see a buyers market for condos with supply outpacing demand and a slight dip in price. A bit about myself... After I finished university I moved to Toronto to pursue a career in fashion and merchandising with a large chain retailer. I spent many weekends getting to know the unique neighbourhoods in Toronto and simply fell in love with the city. I knew Toronto would be my permanent home, and so, along with my husband, we spent the next year searching for the perfect starter home in the perfect neighbourhood. I quickly got a crash course on how fast the Toront...o real estate market moves, how competitive it is and how bidding wars were the norm and not the exception; I suppose not much has changed ;). We eventually scored that home, and although it came with a sense of relief and happiness, the process had truly piqued my interest in real estate. I wanted more. So, I eventually merged my love of fashion and interiors into working on many home renovation projects for myself, and others. This journey is what led me to make a career move and dedicate myself full time to real estate in 2013.
