We had another doozie of a month in the Fraser Valley market. In fact, it's the 5th consecutive month of "unrelenting demand" as the FVREB puts it. Some important numbers: 1 Sales are up 55% compared to Nov 2019 2 Detached prices up 12% since Nov 2019 3 Inventory levels slipped 15% since October... We're seeing a tremendous demand for single-family detached homes, less so for townhouses, and even less for apartments. Why this might be? There are some interesting things happening in the Toronto condo market... Sales have fallen significantly month-over-month in the downtown core, with the opposite occurring in outlying suburbs. Rental markets are also becoming saturated with listings. This undoubtedly an effect of the COVID pandemic.
