. Upon yesterday's announcement of our second lockdown here in Alberta I immediately felt sorry for myself. I kept thinking of all the negative things like the lack of seeing family & friends, not being able to use the gym pass I just bought - and feel I so desperately need to keep myself in check, the inability for my daughter to experience much outside of her home life... . Today I woke up choosing to be grateful a...nd seeing the good in everything. I have more time to spend at home with my daughter - I get to teach her ALL of the things (she is quite easily the smartest kid I know). I have the opportunity to create more home-cooked meals, do some deep cleaning, make memories and enjoy the holiday moments with my girl. She was so excited about the big fluffy snowflakes falling today - "SO PRETTY MAMA!" I am also so incredibly grateful that my partner and I still have the opportunity to work throughout these crazy times. With recent announcements and restrictions we are still able to go about business with a few adjustments. For the next month until we hear differently here's what has changed for us. Masks are now mandatory indoors throughout the province. Working from home is now mandatory except where a physical presence is required.
