When you have something custom built you get to choose the size, color, shape and size. No more, "I guess that matches close enough" or "I wish it was a little bigger/smaller." Custom should never mean more expensive either as it comes straight from the maker. No shipping, retail costs or overhead. Just the maker and his materials. Here is a console table that in stores is 4' long and 18" wide, but the customer needs it to be 3' long and 12" wide. So we made it custom. Retail price in stores $550, cut custom price $400. They saved money and got exactly what they want without compromise.
