If anyone's looking for local hike ideas, I would highly recommend Grand Beach at this time of year. So serene and the fall colours against the white sand are simply stunning.

I stepped out of my comfort zone this year and had the pleasure of working with six amazing + local businesses! I'll share them all with you yet, starting with a teaser from my most recent collaboration with @bumpmaternity - Such a super sweet owner and their maternity/nursing/baby clothing is ! I'm not even a Mom and I want it alllll! Go check them out. They are launching their fall collection this weekend.

Hi! It's me I don't show my face around here too often nor do I share anything too personal, but I am human and I do have a story like all of us! This is my niece and I love her to bits. I got married to my amazing hunny over six months ago and he tickles my feet every morning, hugs me every night and loves me every day. He's also getting pretty good at this picture taking thing (hence, this photo ) Honestly, there are times when I doubt myself, but he always believes in... me. As my schedule fills up with incredible clients ( thank you, thank-you, thank-you), I'm making even more of an effort to capture our own lives and to print photos because I realize its value. Photographs are evidence of our existence, time, dreams, moments, eras, lifestyles... I keep my grandparents old albums in our living room and look through them on a weekly basis. It inspires me, and if it isn't already clear, what I'm really trying to say is that you should print your photos and that my people inspire me the most so I'm thanking them today! #whatmattersmost See more

I'm finally going to introduce a piece of myself to this page. This is me. Many years ago, if someone would have told me what my career would look like now, I don't think I would have believed them. But if I carefully look back, it's obvious that I'm here. As a kid and a teen, I was always drawn to create. Something about it fulfilled me and gave me a purpose. ... I received my first DSLR camera as a grad gift from my parents nearly eight years ago and I became a hobbyist photographer. I found myself slowing down and deepening my appreciation of my surroundings. After completing my BA, I applied to the Faculty of Education and got accepted. I was thrilled in the moment, but when the time came, I sat there for two weeks wondering what the heck I was doing there... I felt completely uninspired and realized that it wasn't for me... I had a hard time accepting this fact and that what I had been working on for the previous three years wasn't want I wanted anymore. I almost ignored all of those feelings to not feel like a failure. I quickly realized that education is never lost and that life is way too short not to follow, yes, you know it, your heart. I started photographing family and friends, received my dip at PV, second shot for numerous weddings, worked for Winnipeg Wedding Photographers Collective for over two and a half years all while maintaining another full time job. Pushed my limits, and I still freaking love it -hence why I launched my own business at the beginning of this year. If some of you are still reading this, I thank you! And if you have ever been drawn to my work or simply my words - again, a heartfelt thank-you. I'll be hosting an Open House at the end of June at my place here in Morris, MB so if you would like to meet me, along with other really cool local wedding vendors, I'm having you over and I can't wait to meet or see you again!
