With the news presented today, a lot of you may be wondering how the impending lockdown will affect healthcare clinics like ours. We will be remaining OPEN throughout the lockdown and will continue to adhere to the highest standards of the public health guidelines. We take this very seriously in order to keep our staff, patients, and community as safe as possible. For those of you who prefer, we will be continuing to offer virtual appointments. Please call the office and let them know if would like to switch your appointment to a virtual one. If you have any questions about our policies or procedures specific to COVID-19 (or in general), please feel free to reach out!

ReBalance turns 4! We are so proud of the space we have created and the community that has surrounded us throughout the process. Thank you for trusting us to help guide you through your injuries, and allowing us to continue to grow. This past year has been a challenge that none of us could have foreseen, but we have adjusted to our new normal and are excited for what the future holds for us at ReBalance! We often look back at these renovation photos to remember our journey and how far we have come. Have a nice weekend, everyone !

Alex Mobbs has officially joined our team, and we are so thrilled about it!!! As you may or may not know, Alex started his journey with us as a Kinesiology student only a few weeks after we opened our doors in 2016. He helped us navigate those early weeks and has been a valuable Rebalance team member ever since! We were sad to see him leave in 2018 for his Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto, but we were very optimistic (and hopeful!) that he would be back t...o join our team as a practitioner. He has been back in the clinic since July completing his last placement with Phil, and now he is ready to start seeing patients on his own. We feel like proud parents, but know his parents are even more proud!. Please join us in giving Alex a warm welcome as he begins his career. He is now accepting new patients, and can't wait to show you all that he has learned. We are all so proud of you!

KEGELS MAY NOT BE FOR YOU! . Kegels are classified as a strengthening exercise for the pelvic floor. While they can be extremely beneficial for some, they can also be a contributing factor to persisting symptoms for others. . The following are a few signs that you should likely avoid Kegels and consider an assessment with one of our pelvic health physiotherapists. ... . Pain with intercourse. Tailbone pain. Constipation. Difficulty emptying bladder or bowels. Rectal or vaginal pain. Strong urinary urgency. Urinary frequency. . We need to understand that muscles can be strong/strenthened without involving painful tension. Kegels are not the only exercise that will improve the integrity of the pelvic floor. Keep in mind that we are individuals who present with different signs and symptoms - there is not one exercise that should be practiced by everyone, we’re all different after all! . #pelvichealthphysiotherapy #kegel #pelvicfloor #muscles #strengthening #downtraining #tailbonepain #painwithintercourse #constipation #pain #urinaryurgency #Sudbury #rehabilitation #physicalrehabilitation See more
